Work Experience
Canadian Imperial Bank of CommerceFinancial Services RepresentativeIn 2015, I completed CIBC's intensive Financial Services Representative three month Development program and concurrently completed my second co-op work term from May 2015-August 2015. In addition, I successfully passed the IFSE Canadian Investment Funds mutual fund examination allowing me to sell and trade mutual funds at CIBC.
Due to my growing interest and determination to learn more about the banking industry, I continued working part-time after the co-op term was complete while maintaining full-time student status in the Bachelor of Commerce program at the University of Victoria. While it may not be an easy feat for the ordinary, it has undoubtedly strengthened my time management, communication, and product knowledge skills. As a matter of fact, I believe that this will be truly beneficial for proving my adaptability in highly demanding situations. Additionally, through this experience, I met with clients every day and realized the importance of building relationships and providing an excellent service experience rather than solely maintaining a sales-based approach. |

Oak Bay Beach Hotel
Hostess & Sales Coordinator
I completed my first co-op as a Hostess at the five-star Oak Bay Beach Hotel known to offer "Our Best. Always." For my co-op, I focused on developing a professional behaviour as I represented the hotel on the front line. Additionally, my interpersonal and communication skills were highlighted in this role as I met with guests from around the world and often received glowing reviews for exceptional customer service. As a result, after my co-op term, I was offered a role as a part-time Sales Coordinator where I met with clients one-on-one and learned how to best utilize Client Relationship Management systems to manage the client base.
